With the Holidays quickly approaching, there are so many things on your mind, and you're not in the mood for thinking about what to get that special woman in your life. You've searched far and wide but everything in the mall is too expensive or too cheesy, not to mention lacks that special personal touch. Lucky for you I've narrowed down the wild vast internet to bring you the top 5 gifts that are a perfect present for that creative gal! Read on fellow gift givers! 1. A Handmade AnythingGetting a handmade gift means so much more than a quirky t-shirt or an xbox (okay maybe not an xbox that would be sick...) but who doesn't love something that the other person took some time to make! Even a handmade and heartfelt card paired with something that you bought like a comfy sweater or a book would really add a nice personal touch, and let the person know you care. Head to your local craft store, get some glitter, stickers, and glue and have fun! 2. A Love JarLow on dough? Buy a fancy looking jar from Target, or maybe you feel like fitting one to her aesthetic from Urban Outfitters. Whatever the vessel, it's the contents that are important. Write down reasons why you love her, your favorite attributes about her, or anything else loving on separate shreds of paper, fold them up, and put them in the jar. Maybe tie a bow around it and you're good! You're gift receiver can either read them all at once or pull one out every so often to get a little dose of love! This is also a good one for Valentine's Day, fellas! 3. A Spa KitMaybe you're not so close with this girl, but she looks stressed and is in desperate need of some relaxation time! After all, the holidays come right after finals! Combine some cozy slippers, a bottle of nail polish, those squidgy things you put between your toes, a face mask, cotton balls, lotion, you get the gist! Anything cute and small that fits in a little box of relaxation nation! Depending on where you buy the stuff, you can make this extremely luxurious, I'll leave that up to you! If you're totally at a loss, try Walgreens, or for something more high end look at Sephora! 4. A Custom PortraitWhat girl wouldn't love one of these? A custom portrait of your boo, your sister, even your mom would enjoy for a lifetime. Not to mention you'll be supporting a starving artist that will use that money to give gifts to those they love, too! If you're not too keen on the human portrait idea, you can also get portraits of animals, special locations, or other meaningful subject matter. I've included a list of some great artists on Etsy doing this type of stuff, I'm one of them! 5. An Adult Coloring BookI know I mention these coloring books a lot, but I can't help but gush over them. So many of us are creatively inclined, but don't have the skill to draw! These coloring books let you reap the therapeutic benefits while not having to stress if your drawing is right or not. A creative girl that got this with a nice set of colored pencils, would not only be extremely happy but really impressed by how you hit the nail on the head with this gift! I can honestly say I've received my fair share of crappy gifts, not like they didn't mean anything, but the gift itself wasn't something that reflected my passions and interests. The best presents are the ones that bring a smile to your face, and warmth in your heart. These five gifts are a sure fire way to be useful, heartfelt and personal. Don't forget to top it off with some beautiful wrapping paper and a bow! Happy Holidays everyone, and I hope your girls love their gifts!
